About

I am an experienced researcher with a strong background in neurobehavioral sciences, experimental pharmacology, and toxicology, with a particular focus on dementia and neurodegenerative disease models. My work involves designing and executing complex in-vivo studies using both rodent and transgenic animal models to explore disease mechanisms, therapeutic interventions, and toxicity profiles. A major area of my expertise lies in the development and characterization of preclinical models, including behavioral paradigms for assessing cognitive impairment, anxiety, and motor deficits relevant to dementia and neurotoxicity. I have successfully established and validated several neurobehavioral and teratogenic models, enabling detailed evaluation of neurological function and drug efficacy. My research integrates biochemical investigations and enzymology, focusing on oxidative stress markers, neuroinflammatory mediators, and enzyme activity profiling in disease and treatment states. I routinely perform tissue collection and sampling, followed by molecular assays to assess gene and protein expression related to inflammation, apoptosis, and neuroprotection.
Additionally, I possess hands-on experience in histology and histopathological analysis, including tissue staining, microscopy, and lesion scoring to examine cellular and structural changes in various organs and brain regions. These analyses provide critical insight into the morphological effects of both disease progression and experimental treatments. In the field of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), I have designed and executed studies to evaluate absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) profiles, alongside dose-response relationships and time-course efficacy studies. These trials contribute to a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic index and safety margins.
My multidisciplinary approach-spanning behavior, biochemistry, histology, and molecular biology enables me to generate robust data supporting the development of new therapeutic strategies, particularly for neurological disorders and toxicological risk assessment. I am proficient in experimental planning, statistical data interpretation, and regulatory considerations for animal research.
