Associate Professor Dr. Marina Yusoff is an AI lead researcher and academician at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.
She is now a Deputy Director for the Institute for Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (IBDAAI). She holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology and Quantitative Sciences, with a specialization in Intelligent Systems. She was a former Senior Information Technology Executive at SIRIM Berhad. Her previous roles were at HeiTech Padu Berhad under Software Alliances (IBM). Dr Marina has a lifelong commitment to advancing technology and addressing real-world challenges through innovative research in AI.
She is internationally recognized through appointments as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Sohar University, Oman, and Visiting Professor at Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan.
Her work focuses on enhancing Nature-Inspired Computational Optimization, leading to improvements in deep learning, machine learning, particle swarm optimization, genetic algorithms, ant colony optimization, the firefly algorithm, and cuckoo search.
Her expertise has been demonstrated by leading 14 research grants, totaling 37 grants worth over 11 million Malaysian Ringgit, and over 100 publications in indexed journals, conference proceedings, and books.

Dr. Marina is a sought-after AI solution provider, trainer, and speaker in AI and data analytics worldwide, with AI research specialties in healthcare, oil and gas, fintech, social media analytics, and intelligent system development. She delivers cutting-edge AI products and services, providing AI models and demonstrating successful deployment of AI solutions.
