I am a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Melaka and a Chartered Graduate Engineer (Electronic) with over a decade of specialized experience in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Signal Processing. My career is shaped by combining theoretical computer models with real-world uses in industrial automation, precision agriculture, and digital healthcare, which are important areas for technology growth in OIC member countries.
I possess extensive hands-on expertise in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of sophisticated autonomous and diagnostic hardware. As a Technical Lead for the UiTM-AV1 (Autonomous Vehicle) project, I directed the integration of 3D LiDAR systems and real-time point cloud visualization for urban navigation. In the industrial domain, I have developed and deployed advanced computer vision models for solder joint and chip X-ray defect detection, utilizing hybrid attention mechanisms and high-resolution imaging equipment. Furthermore, as Principal Investigator for the V-SURF (Smart Urban Farming) initiative, I oversaw the deployment of IoT-based sensor networks and automated irrigation systems, providing scalable solutions for food security.
My expertise also extends to the scientific and medical sectors, where I specialize in the optimization of algorithms for radiographic imaging systems. This includes developing high-precision segmentation tools for Scoliosis classification and medical anomaly detection, ensuring that complex diagnostic equipment operates with maximum accuracy and reliability.
I have a robust background in training and curriculum development. As the institutional Resource Person for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Image Processing, I develop comprehensive technical manuals and maintain rigorous curriculum standards. I frequently serve as a Lead Trainer for Professional Certifications in Big Data Analytics and ICT capacity-building programs. My commitment to knowledge dissemination is further evidenced by my authorship of technical guides, including "Practical Digital Image Processing with Matlab," a foundational text used to train researchers in computational vision.
I have lead high-level research collaborations with international partners, such as Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and contribute to the global scientific community through my service on Technical Program Committees for international informatics conferences. To date, I have secured over RM 253,300 in research funding, hold five Intellectual Property (IPR) copyrights, and one trademark. With 55 peer-reviewed publications and active membership in the IEEE Malaysia Section, I am committed to advancing the technological landscape of the OIC region through innovation and expert consultancy.
