20 years of experience
Mashallah Rezakazemi is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Shahrood University of Technology (Iran) and a globally recognized authority in membrane science, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), separation processes, and sustainable energy-water technologies. His research integrates experimental membrane fabrication, MOF synthesis and functionalization, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and machine learning to develop next-generation solutions for CO₂ capture, gas purification, water desalination, pollutant adsorption, and wastewater treatment. With an h-index of 77 and over 20,000 citations — and recognized as a Web of Science Top 1% Highly Cited Researcher continuously since 2019 — his work bridges fundamental materials chemistry and real-world industrial applications, with landmark contributions published in Nature Communications, Materials Science and Engineering: Report R, Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Progress in Materials Science, and Advanced Functional Materials. He serves on editorial boards of over a dozen journals (Elsevier, Nature, Wiley) and collaborates actively with groups across Europe, Asia, South Africa, and North America. He welcomes proposals for joint research, co-supervision, and international exchange.
